The 2020 draft wasn’t too kind for Tucker and Otis of the Heavy Machinery. While Otis stayed on SmackDown, Tucker was drafted to Raw. Tonight, in a backstage segment on Raw, Tucker confronted Miz and Morrison backstage.

Tucker told Miz he wasn’t happy that the latter used his influence to get him drafted to RAW. Notably, the Miz had pursued a similar strategy to get Mandy Rose traded to Raw. Furthermore, he claimed that Otis might be in a different brand, but he would surely find a new partner for himself.

The A-lister claimed he just wanted to bring back dignity to the Money in the Bank Briefcase. The segment ended with Miz and Morrison laughing off Tucker’s claim that he will find a partner.

Miz and Morrison were in the ring when Tucker finally walked out to announce his new mate. The partner Tucker found was El Gran Gordo, who was Otis in a pink mask, cape, and trunks.

Miz then called out Otis for hiding his identity who even brought his lunch box as he walked down. The Miz promised to separate Otis and the Money in the Bank contract just like Tucker and Mandy Rose. Towards the end, because of various interruptions from the 24 x 7 champion and his challengers, Tucker and El Grand Gordo picked up the win.

Otis and Tucker’s chemistry in the ring is very natural and can be seen in their performance. However, from now on, they will have to go their own ways.

Otis gets emotional over split with Tucker after the draft

These last couple of months haven’t really been great for Otis. He first lost his peach Mandy Rose and then the 2020 draft took away his long-time partner Tucker.

On the latest edition of WWE Network show The Bump, Otis reflected on his journey with Tucker. He also spoke about Mandy Rose heading to Raw.

“It really hit us big time after Talking Smack. After hearing the news, as we walked away from being guests, I legit started seeing him wipe his face, I was like wow, this is really real.

“We’ve officially been a team for four and a half years. He’s been, my big brother for real on the road. I’m very, very emotional. But yeah, we’re both in each other’s hearts – two hearts, one soul. We’ve had each other’s back since day one. I’m going to miss him.”
