On the previous edition of Monday Night Raw, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre made his much-awaited return. McIntyre returned and sent Orton to the very place he came from i.e. the Hospital. The three claymore kicks knocked Orton’s lights out.

A couple of days ago, WWE announced four huge matches for the upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw. In the super-stacked card, the most highly awaited contest is Drew McIntyre vs Keith Lee.

Everyone is cursing the year 2020 for the Pandemic, loss of jobs, and untimely deaths of many people. However, It has been a year to remember for both Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee.

McIntyre won the Royal Rumble in 2020 and challenged Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. He then went on to slay the beast at WrestleMania 36 and became the WWE Champion.

Keith Lee had a path-breaking year of his own. The ‘limitless one’ defeated Adam Cole, ending his 403-day title reign and becoming NXT’s first-ever double champion.

Drew McIntyre needs a win to gain momentum heading into Clash of Champions

Drew McIntyre returned to WWE after almost a month. Randy Orton had punted the champ thrice that fractured his jaw (kayfabe).

In the 2-3 weeks when there was no Drew McIntyre, Keith Lee has walked in and tried to make a name. He defeated the ‘viper’ in under six minutes at Payback; it wasn’t a squash match but definitely close to it.

According to rumors, the top management including Vince McMahon is very high on Keith Lee. This is the only potential reason they allowed a newcomer on the main roster to not only go over but dominate a future Hall of Famer like Randy Orton at Payback.

My prediction is that this week, Keith Lee will defeat Drew McIntyre. This time, the contest is not expected to be a one-sided affair like Payback. I am expecting it to be an evenly contested and hard-fought battle. WWE could indirectly find a new challenger by making Lee win this week.

If Lee defeats McIntyre and McIntyre goes over at Clash of Champions against Randy Orton, this puts Lee next in the title picture for defeating two Stalwarts of Raw in a month.

Furthermore, Edge has been rumored to return. This would be a great way to bring Randy Orton out of the story and restart his feud with Edge.

What is your prediction? Let us know in the comments below.
