The fortress of the Hurt Business is under attack! Matt Riddle secured the United States Championship at Elimination Chamber, winning his first-ever main roster title in WWE.

While Keith Lee and Riddle were promoted for a triple threat match, Lee pulled out at the last minute. John Morrison replaced Lee following a fatal four-way match at the Kick-off show.

Lashley established dominance in the match from the get-go as he cleared the ring multiple times. To take down the common foe, Riddle and Morrison tried to double team on Lashley. However, their alliance broke as soon as as it started.

Taking advantage, the champ came forward and attacked both his challengers. After a couple of offenses, Morrison came in and hit Riddle while nailing a starship pain on Lashley for a near-fall.

However, the leader of the Hurt Business, MVP, started yelling at Morrison from the ringside. This prompted Morrison to go out of the ring and threaten MVP with one of his crutches.

Morrison grabbed one crutch to use on Lashley. However, Lashley applied the Hurt Lock only to be attacked by Riddle with one of the crutches. At this point, Lashley was sent out of the ring,

Inside the ring, Matt Riddle hit the Bro Derek on Morrison for the pin to win the title.

Matt Riddle already has some handsome achievements under his belt. He is a former UFC fighter with a four-fight win streak. However, he was fired due to substance abuse.

Following this, Riddle wrestled in various indie promotions and even got recognized for his talents. He is a former Evolve Champion, WWN Champion, PWG World Tag Team Champion, and two-time Progress Atlas Champion.

Riddle signed with WWE in 2018. Under the gimmick of the ‘Original Bro’, Riddle won the NXT Tag Team Championship as well as the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

In 2020, he moved to the RAW roster, and his ring name was shortened to Riddle. There, he had brief feuds with AJ Styles and Baron Corbin before setting his eyes on the gold.
