The latest edition of Monday Night RAW wasn’t a great one for WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. The WWE champion and The Legend Killer were at loggerheads throughout the night.
McIntyre opened RAW and spoke about his glorious victory at SummerSlam. While returning backstage after his segment, Randy Orton attacked McIntyre in the stage and the backstage area. Orton then punted McIntyre’s head off twice.
The Champ got some redemption later in the show when Orton faced Keith Lee. McIntyre attacked Orton causing a disqualification on Lee’s debut.

However, as he was giving an interview, Randy Orton struck again and punted him for the third time. An ambulance then took ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ to a medical facility. Later, Charly Caruso reported that he will undergo more evaluations.
Here is the official statement by WWE on WWE.com
“As reported by Charly Caruso on Raw, medical staff were fearful of a skull fracture and potential brain bleeding to Drew McIntyre after Randy Orton delivered three vicious kicks to the skull to the WWE Champion earlier in the night. The medical officials did also express concern the injuries could potentially be career-threatening.
“McIntyre was eventually loaded into an ambulance and transported to a local medical facility for further testing.”
Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton rivalry is far from over
This injury to McIntyre doesn’t mean the rivalry is over. However, it means that The WWE Championship won’t be defended at PayBack.
Keith Lee is very good friends with Drew McIntyre and this assault from Orton didn’t sit well with him. ‘The Limitless one’ challenged Orton to a match at Payback and WWE have confirmed it.

Many people in the WWE Universe felt it was too early for Keith Lee to give up his NXT Championship and come to the main roster. Unfortunately, WWE has proved the fans right after a not so impressive debut for the Limitless one.
