The post-Hell in a Cell RAW began with the preparation for the upcoming Money in the Bank. Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston challenged current champion, Bobby Lashley, to a match, which the latter promptly accepted.

However, Lashley wanted to face Kingston’s New Day brother, Xavier Woods, inside the Cell, later in the night. Woods also accepted this challenge. Woods also expressed his wish to compete in the King of The Ring tournament in the future.

Unfortunately, things did not go well for The New Day. Not only did ‘The Almighty’ defeat him, but he and MVP locked Woods in the cell, put him into a hurt lock until he screamed in pain. Meanwhile, Kofi helplessly looked on from outside.

After the event, WWE Network caught up with Kofi. The visibly distressed former Champion said that the Hurt Business had taken it too far this time, and exploited Xavier.

What I do know is Bobby and MVP took it too far tonight,” he said. “Xavier, he wanted that Hell in a Cell match because he wanted to prove that he belonged to the upper echelon of talent in WWE. He wanted to prove he belonged there.”

He reminded Bobby that he would face him one-on-one in the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV. But the attack was completely unnecessary and uncalled for!

Kofi Kingston sends a strong message to Bobby Lashley and MVP

The attack on Xavier Woods has shaken Kofi to his core. Now the fun-loving Unicorn-wielding baby face is seeking redemption. He knows that Bobby might be ‘The Man’ right now, but Kofi is not so far behind.

What Bobby needs to understand is that behind all the unicorns, and the pancakes, and the rainbows, and the hip-swiveling and all that, you know my accolades; you know what I’ve been able to do.”

Bobby, you done messed up because Xavier was out there fighting for me, that’s the kind of heart that he has, and now, I gotta fight with all my heart for him. And now You gonna make me show you a side, that I don’t want to like to show,” Kofi warned and walked away.

This new rivalry seems very organic and a matter of time. Lashley had already expressed his wish to fight Kofi, especially after the massive impact of KofiMania a few years ago.
