After an interesting back and forth in The Bloodline storyline, Jey Uso made his comeback at WWE Payback. This was the first time that the wrestler was seen without Jimmy Uso, the other half of The Usos.
A few months ago, Jey Uso took his twins’s side in betraying Roman Reigns, the head of The Bloodline. Later on, in August 2023, The Usos splintered as Jimmy Uso betrayed his brother. With brother betraying brother, it seems that Jey has decided to go solo. To cement this, Jey made an appearance at Payback, where fans were given the first taste of a new entry theme song.
However, this might not have had the effect that Uso wanted, as fans expressed strong opinions on the wrestler’s solo comeback.

Jey Uso comes back with a new theme song
Speaking on The Grayson Waller Effect, Cody Rhodes dropped the bombshell news that Uso would be returning to the ring at Payback 2023. When Jey stepped into the ring to meet Waller, things got intense. They had a face-off, and Jey ended up giving Waller a powerful superkick. In returning to the ring, fans got to hear Uso’s new theme, which they deemed to be disrespectful to The Usos name.

The reception by fans has been mixed since its launch, with most of them negative in nature. He kept the original theme song used by the brothers when they entered the ring. He made changes in the lyrics, most notably removing his brother’s name ‘Jimmy’ from it and replacing it with ‘It’s just me, Uce’.

Jimmy Uso might have done it better than Jey Uso

It's all terrible. As someone that has done music production, it really bothers me how lazily they did them.

One fan implied that the song was a petty punch at Jimmy, with Jey trying to remove him from his career.

I’m sorry but I’m the only one who didn’t like the new theme. https://t.co/hKB2HBLNYQ

Right now, its pretty clear that all ties between Jey and The Bloodline have been severed. Even more so as The Bloodline continues to perform on SmackDown and Jey has moved on to Raw. With the reintroduction of Jey Uso to Raw, there are a lot more possibilities for the Uso twin. Fans hope that his second run is not as bad as his new theme song.
