Roman Reigns shocked the world after he aligned with the devil. WWE’s resident superhero had opened up a can of worms as a result of this alliance.
Fans are speculating about the next move of ‘The Big Dog.’ Everyone wants to know the next surprise that he has up his hat.
One of the theories that’s constantly doing the rounds on the internet involves the anarchist faction called Retribution. For weeks now, the group has wreaked havoc on both the WWE brands. Their latest victims were Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik.

Strangely enough, ever since the big return of Roman Reigns, the dark group has not been seen on WWE programming. A stable that was being built so strongly has mysteriously escaped from television. Can it be a coincidence? Fans definitely don’t think so.
Renowned journalist Alex McCarthy was one of the first people to raise this doubt. This opened up a Pandora’s box of speculations.
I’m not trying to connect dots here – and I actually hope they’re not linked – but Retribution didn’t show up at SummerSlam or SmackDown.
The two shows Roman Reigns has been on 🤔

It's no mistake. I love the idea of Roman & Brock having an army behind them, and eventually, Big E's gonna be leading everyone else against them

Would prefer for Retribution to end up on Raw tbh. Don't think a heel Roman needs them especially with Heyman. If they want to keep Raw as interesting as Smackdown now then they need to be on there

& look at what Roman Reigns new shirt says…exactly what retribution do 👀 (credit for this goes to @bullyray5150 from earlier this week on Busted Open Radio)

Is Roman Reigns the leader of Retribution?
To be honest, this is too big of a coincidence. With the kind of investment WWE has shown in Retribution, it’s pretty difficult that they don’t have them on TV due to lack of ideas.
It’s certainly part of a bigger scheme of things. The fact that it coincides perfectly with Reigns’ return completes the arc of this story.
However, is it really prudent to align Reigns with the Retribution? In my opinion, it will be a huge mistake. This alliance doesn’t help either of the two parties involved.
Reigns’ character needs to be built more like Brock Lesnar. He is a powerhouse on his own. He doesn’t need a group of henchmen to do his bidding.

Additionally, the philosophy of the Reigns and Retribution doesn’t quite add up. Retribution is focused on destroying the WWE. On the other hand, Reigns represents the idea of the WWE. He doesn’t have any qualms with the company; In fact, he wants to reclaim his title and become the face of the WWE.
It’s also a bad deal for the Retribution members. As of this moment, they have been kept as an independent entity. This way, each member of the group has a greater chance of being in the spotlight.

If they are aligned with Reigns, the story becomes about Reigns. They will become side stars in the big picture.
Needless to say, WWE loses out on the opportunity to create new stars. That’s my take on these speculations. What do you think about these rumors?
