The Olympics are the most prestigious sporting event in the world. It is a platform where many athletes compete in their respective games to win the gold medal for their country. Given the large interest in this event, fans of all sports tune in to watch the Games.

At the recent Beijing Winter Olympics, the organizers revealed the stadium and the podium. When the pictures were released, WWE fans had a treat in store, as the podium resembled the Ovaltron set of WWE SmackDown.

A popular journalist, Nick Hope, shared the picture of the podium. He wrote, “Honour to interview medal-winners after they stepped off the #Beijing2022 podium tonight.”

WWE fans quickly came forward to respond to the tweet. They felt nostalgic looking at the set and gave various hypothetical scenarios.

Fans wonder whether The Rock will invade the Olympics

A fan remembered the classic Ovaltron SmackDown set and shared a confrontation between The Rock and The Undertaker.

The original debut WWE SmackDown set

The Olympic podium is like the debut set of SmackDown.i.e. the Ovaltron. It is the highlight fans remember from early SmackDown tapings.

The Ovaltron was a part of the SmackDown set till August 2001. Subsequently, WWE introduced the fist and mirror set, which stayed until the HD set entered in 2008.
