As she became the new NXT UK Women’s Champion, Meiko Satomura ended the record-setting 649 days title reign of Kay Lee Ray. However, in true sportsmanship, Satomura did not hesitate to give credit where it’s due.

Both women fought tooth and nail in the title match. Seeing her imminent loss, KLR tried to walk out of the arena with the title but was stopped, In the end, Satomura pinned her with the Scorpio Rising finisher.

By doing so, Satomura became the first Japanese and non-British female wrestler to hold the women’s title. She is also the fourth overall champion to hold the title.
