The NXT Takeover: In Your House lived up to the hype as the electrified fans in the CWC had a great time. Amidst all the quality wrestling showcased in the show, the fans were left in a state of dubiety when the current GM of NXT, William Regal, left the center after providing a cryptic message. WWE COO and NXT’s very own, Triple H came out with a statement about the future of William Regal.
Regal, frustrated and let down by all the chaos in the show’s backstage area, reminded the fans that under his reign as the GM of the show, such a huge bedlam has never happened. He then left the fans in despair as he mentioned that it was time for a change.

The comments from William Regal about a change to the show became a huge discussion point among the WWE Universe. The fans feared it could be the end for one of the best on-screen authority figures in recent times. However, it was not to be so.

Triple H’s statement revealed the influence of Willam in NXT and how much of an important figure he is to the brand. But it also sent a warning to the fans that there could be a new GM soon if William Regal himself steps out of the position.
Chaos and complete madness
The major reason William Regal teased an exit from NXT was all the mayhem that happened backstage. WWE showed many backstage scenarios during the show, where Regal and his officials constantly tried to stop brawls between the superstars. As WWE has been teasing this ‘Chaos’ storyline for the past few weeks, it seems like a well-plotted move rather than a burst from a moment of despair.

The WWE universe is already discussing who could fill the mighty shoes of Regal. The WWE fans have hugely praised and loved William Regal for transforming a development brand into a global wrestling show.
