The Undertaker, before joining WWE, wrestled in other companies in his younger days and met many of his future WWE colleagues. To name a few are Stone Cold Steve Austin, Scott Hall, Paul Heyman, etc.

Many know that The Undertaker worked in WCW and USWA, but very few fans know he had a short stint at New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). He was called Punisher “Dice Morgan” in Japan.
However, he was not the only American wrestler in NJPW during that time. Scott Hall was also in the company for some time with The Undertaker. They both grew in the wrestling world together around this time.
Recently, a fan tweeted some pictures of The Undertaker and Scott from their early days in pro-wrestling. The pictures were from the late 80s and also had an image of their stint in Japan. The caption was, “Scott Hall & Mark Calaway.”

In early 1990, Hall left WCW and spent some time at NJPW. Similarly, The Phenom had given his notice in WCW in order to go to WWE. However, as they had nothing for him at the time, Taker went to NJPW.

Hall and Taker know each other since the late 80s and struggled together for some time. Mark Calaway joined WWE in 1990 and became The Undertaker. However, Scott Hall came into the company in 1992 as Razor Ramon and also had a small feud with The Deadman.
The Undertaker was already popular in WWE
When Scott Hall joined WWE again and became a Hall of Famer, they released a documentary about his life. In the documentary, Razor Ramon narrated his story, and it became famous.
Hall, who talked about The Undertaker’s fame in WWE in the early 90s, said, “I crossed paths with Taker in Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling in late 80s before I was still rocking the village people mustache and he didn’t have a single tat.”
