Cowboys Legend Michael Irvin believes that XFL cannot compete at the NFL’s level, primarily because of the latter’s fanbase. Nevertheless, it’s a good platform for those who barely missed the cut.

He explained his stand on the situation during an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports.

“NFL has such a stronghold on their fan base. And if people want to see that game played at its highest level all the time, so so it’s hard when you see the players that they have in the NFL, but I would love for this league to get off and serve some of the people, there’s so many people out here that really want to play the game and maybe just barely can’t play at the NFL level, and can have these great opportunities. I would love to see one of these leagues. ”

Irvin believes XFL cannot be on par with NFL. However, he reiterated that whatever Johnson touches turns to gold. Therefore, with Johnson’s “Midas touch”, the XFL does have a grand future.

The Rock has a similar motive behind purchasing the XFL

Not everyone knows this, but Dwayne Johnson wanted to play in the NFL when he was in college. He was on the University of Miami’s football team, but couldn’t make it all the way to the NFL.
