WWE Fans Enraged as Ronda Rousey Pips Sasha Banks to Feature in Super Bowl Commerical for WrestleMania

WWE had a Super Bowl commercial yesterday after a long awaited time of 22 years. The last time WWE featured their commercial at Super Bowl was in 1999. This time, the commercial was for the Road to WrestleMania. It featured several WWE superstars like Ronda Rousey, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, etc. However, there were a few big superstars left out in the commercial, such as ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks.

Vince McMahon did not pay the commercial as he has no interest in showing advertisements at Super Bowl. Peacock TV paid the commercial who run the content for WWE Network. As a result, fans got to see WWE advertisements at Super Bowl.

Furthermore, fans also observed that during the commercial, not all the superstar were featured in it. Especially the women’s division. It only featured Ronda Rousey, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair. Fans wondered why WWE didn’t feature Sasha Banks and Bayley. WWE Universe did not like the company putting Ronda over Sasha Banks in the commercial.

The fans showed their disappointment on twitter. A wrestling fan, Stephanie Hypez, posted a tweet regarding this. In her Tweet, she said, “The women featured in the 1st WWE Superbowl commercial in 22 years are Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey! #WrestleMania”

Tykia Jerry thinks this was unfair to Sasha, “I would’ve loved to see Sasha Banks in this commercial over Ronda since it’s Sasha who comes in every week to wrestle. Ronda hasn’t even been back a month yet. But I guess it’s because they’re using her as a cash draw.”

What’s next for Sasha Banks?

Sasha Banks returned to WWE one week before Royal Rumble after an injury she picked up in January this year. She entered first and was eliminated by Queen Zelina quickly before half roster was out. There isn’t any matches planned for her as of now.

Sometime back Bayley posted on her Twitter stating she will going after Sasha Banks once she returned. She is expected to return by end of February or start of March. It is unclear about the plans, but it seems Sasha and Bayley will continue their feud of go for the Women’s Tag team titles at WrestleMania 38.
