Jason Kelce, who came to the rescue of Rey Mysterio, gained a ton of attention online. While this isn’t the first time the WWE has involved a celebrity or athlete in a WrestleMania match, someone didn’t like it. The ever-critical Dave Meltzer took to social media to share his opinion on the matter, and it was not in favour of the WWE.

While Meltzer has found ways of criticizing the WWE, around Mania, he gets more ammunition. The use of two hometown heroes to win the match didn’t sit well with him.

Taking to social media, Dave Meltzer posted, “It was about putting over Jason Kelce for mainstream pub. That always take precedence at Mania.” This could have been in defence of Domink Mysterio, who was destroyed by the NFL star. Dirty Dom has been on the rise, and this could have been his moment at Mania. However, Kelce’s involvement took the spotlight away from the rising star. The post Meltzer commented on detailed how hardworking Dirty Dom is in the WWE. It also cited that Dom was doing all this without being under the shadow of his Hall of Famer father.

Meltzer has always been on the fence about burying young talent for a cheap pop.

While the father-son rivalry is far from over, this was a great win for the Hall of Famer over Escobar. The rivalry will continue with LWO growing. However, only time will tell if Dom Dom leaves JD for Escobar’s team to continue his fight with Rey. Mami was clearly not happy with this, and neither were the rest of the Judgment Day. Now, with Mami holding on to her title and Priest with the MITB briefcase, no one has any gold. Could this lead to an implosion within Judgment Day? Only time will tell. What did you think of Meltzer’s words? Tell us in the comments.
