The recently concluded Super Bowl LVII was the mega spectacle it always is. Global music star Rihanna enchanted the watching audience with her performance during half-time. Her outing divided the fans with many admirers, but also some detractors. A WCW and WWE legend is among those who weren’t impressed. He recently made it quite evident that he did not like what ‘RiRi’ came up with at the event.
Fans await the Super Bowl every year, not only because of the superb finale to NFL on offer but also to enjoy stage acts by some of the most popular musicians. The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, and Beyonce are a few who have appeared on this special night over the years. However, Rihanna’s show failed to impress WWE star Goldberg. He made his comments in the latest edition of his Carcast podcast hosted by Matt “The Motorator” D’Andria.
The former world champion said, “I thought Rihanna was freaking horrible. I mean I was disgusted by it, that’s all, let’s just say that. That’s the understatement of the year, I thought it was disgusting, I thought it was horrible.” D’Andria talked about Chris Stapleton’s rendition of the national anthem. And the wrestling legend could not help but take a shot at the ‘Caribbean Queen’ again. He added, “Well, he {Stapleton} did not grab his crotch every 15 seconds.”

Goldberg’s status as a wrestling legend has never been in question. His classic feud with Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson in 2003 serves as a classic example. But his opinion on certain issues such as this one may not be universally approved.

Rihanna came up with a superb musical performance on the night. However, it’s impossible for her to come up with an ideal show of everybody’s liking. And Goldberg’s remarks strongly suggest his views on the Super Bowl performance. The fans have responded with opinions of their own. The veteran wrestler may not like what he will see on social media about him.
