Within the realm of pro wrestling, there have been several brilliant managers throughout its many years of existence, but one name that stands out among the greatest ever is Paul Heyman’s. Often the devil’s advocate for some of the biggest heels in pro-wrestling like CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Roman Reigns, Heyman surely knows how to stir fans up.

While it is not uncommon for him to anger fans of the sport, this time he decided to leap boundaries and target the feelings of not just NFL fans but also Swifties.

Paul Heyman’s out-of-the-box tip on going viral

Being every heel’s best friend isn’t easy, especially in the WWE. A manager will have to bear the hate along with the superstar. And while to many this might sound like a not-so-pleasing deal, Paul Heyman surely seems to love his job.

Fans have often witnessed the legendary mic work of the veteran manager, taking quips at other superstars and fans. This time, the 58-year-old had something different in mind. During WWE SmackDown New Year’s Revolution, an interviewer asked Paul Heyman about the return of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to WWE and his reference to Roman Reigns.

Being the ever-not-so-subtle man that he is, Heyman called out The Rock’s move as a way to get viral, while also mentioning the other method of achieving the same by dating pop and country star Taylor Swift. “There’s only 2 ways in this world to guarantee going viral: 1. Date Taylor Swift, 2. Call out Roman Reigns,” he said.

For the unaware, this was a slight dig toward the Kansas City Chiefs’s tight end, Travis Kelce. While Kelce is considered one of the greatest tight ends in the NFL, he has been in the news for being in a rumored relationship with Taylor Swift. And being one of the greatest in-ring talkers in pro-wrestling history, Heyman just couldn’t help but do what he does best. Be a heel. But is he always that mean?

Dwayne Johnson’s daughter reveals the other side of Heyman

Paul Heyman met with Dwayne Johnson‘s daughter, Ava Raine, on the October 10, 2023, edition of NXT and interacted with her backstage on the show. Many wondered about the reason behind the meetup. Some even speculated that Ava would be made a member of the Bloodline, but every theory was put to rest as the 22-year-old disclosed what transpired between her and ‘Wise Man’ Paul Heyman.

“It was brought to my attention a couple months ago when a Wiseman told me that as the brand continues to grow, Shawn Michaels, he may need some help and that’s where I come in. I have a unique relationship with the NXT roster. I have some of my own ideas, sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t,” she said.

And Raine sure took the advice, as she now serves as an authority figure for NXT as Shawn Michael’s assistant. So maybe Paul Heyman isn’t always the Devil’s advocate, or will the wicked, well-suited devil incorporate this into a storyline as well? What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
