Shannon Sharpe played 14 seasons in the NFL as a tight-end player. He gained popularity for being the first NFL tight end to accumulate over 10,000 receiving yards. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Sharpe said, “Give me, give me a month, I’ll get him.” This got the hosts and viewers in attendance excited. In his prime, Sharpe had one of the most impressive bodies in the NFL. Unfortunately, since retiring and working as an NFL analyst for CBS, he hasn’t been able to keep up his shape.
He ended it by saying, “One month Rock, you & I. Bench press competition.” This got a massive applause from the crowd. However, what Johnson has to say about this is left to be seen. Will The Great One accept this challenge and face off in a bench press competition? Moreover, a benchpress challenge is nothing for The Rock.

Dwayne Johnson’s insane workout routine
While Sharpe advocates for not pushing yourself too far, The Rock is on the other end of that spectrum. The Rock, despite being 51, constantly pushes his body beyond his limits. According to reports, The Great One can bench press 450 lbs for a one-rep max on a good day. This is a massive feat for someone of his age. However, it was also reported that he could do 600 to 700 pounds on a prime workout day in a session.
Many fans who follow Johnson’s workout routine have claimed it rivals what bodybuilders do for a chance to become Mr. Olympia. With stats like this, it will be interesting to see The Rock’s reply to the challenge.
