Therefore, every bit of his words and actions comes under the high scrutiny of a wide fanbase. DJ grew a very loyal social media fan fam over the years. The ?800 million Hollywood hunk’s admirers never fail to acknowledge the superstar for the success of his new ventures, pieces of life lessons he splashes from time to time, generous activities, and whatnot.

However, as every picture always possesses an opposite side, The Brahma Bull once came under fire regarding his controversial Instagram post on US national armies.

Dwayne Johnson once found himself in hot water after thanking the US Army on Instagram

Johnson turned from a hero to a villain overnight after posting a reactionary Instagram post back in 2019. The wrestler-turned-actor simply thanked the US Army’s first Armored Division Soldiers, for they named a tank after him. Paying his heartfelt gratitude and respect, DJ wrote on his Instagram, ”I?m sending a salute of respect & gratitude to the Blackhawk Squadron ?? 1st Armored Division for the honor of naming their tank (the most advanced in the world) Dwayne ?The Rock? Johnson.”

”Heavy duty, badass, sexy AF, and built to take care of business ? ? but most importantly, thank you all for your service. Grateful to the bone.”, the former world champion continued.

However, while it came as an ultimate honor to Johnson, not all of his fans were thrilled about Johnson turning into a literal war tank. They bashed him in the comments for finding pleasure in being a tank’s namesake that is built to kill during a war.

Johnson, having his roots in a family that served in the military, however, knew where his sense of satisfaction and pride came from and hence wasn’t bothered at all to fire back at his critiques.

Now, three years later, NFL starlet Tom Brady seems to undergo the same fan discontent for dropping sensitive words regarding the national army.

The national sentiment comes among the most sensitive public sentiments and hence needs to be treated with utmost care. Brady, 46, failed to do it, choosing some inappropriate words while comparing a football season to rigorous military training. During his conversation in the episode of the ‘Let’s Go’ podcast, the quarterback mentioned, ”like I?m going away on deployment for the military”.

Obviously, the comment garnered a huge backlash from people belonging inside and outside of the military field. Many deemed it as an insult to those who risk their lives for the countrymen.

The air of the mishap cooled down a bit with Brady issuing a genuine apology for his ‘poor choice of words’.

Speaking of Dwayne Johnson’s controversial deed on the same, it wasn’t as direct and specific as Tom Brady’s recent statement.
