Ahead of WrestleMania XL, fans were speculating about Jason Kelce’s involvement. However, tonight, those fans were proven right as Kelce entered to help Rey Mysterio and take out Dominik Mysterio. Moreover, Kelce was wearing a Rey Mysterio mask, which hinted at the reason behind his being there. Here is everything you need to know about their connection.
It was Rey Mysterio who invited Jason Kelce to WrestleMania XL
After the Super Bowl game, Kelce was seen with a Rey Mysterio mask, and the Hall of Famer had reacted to it. Mysterio took to social media and said, “What’s going on, Jason? This is Rey Mysterio. You actually wore one of my masks after the Super Bowl.” Following the video, he did invite Kelce to WrestleMania, and it looks like Kelce accepted the invitation. Coming to Mysterio’s rescue was a sweet moment, and dawning on his mask was the cherry on top.

The entire thing occurred when The Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024. Jason Kelce, whose brother Travis plays for the Chiefs, celebrated at their afterparty. During this party, Kelce donned a Rey Mysterio mask for some fun. However, this led to social media buzz catching Mysterio’s attention and prompting him to make the video.

Rey seemed to need Kelce’s help; if it had not been for him, Rey could’ve lost to his son. Dirty Dom was taking out a steel chair when Kelce caught him and threw him to the post. This allowed LWO to pick up the win at Mania and get a huge pop from the Philly crowd. However, the rivalry isn’t over between both teams.
Jason Kelce also took a picture with The Rock
No longer on the field, Jason Kelce has more free time after hanging up his cleats in March. He retired from the NFL following a stellar 13-year career, all spent with the Philadelphia Eagles. During that time, his talent earned him a spot in seven Pro Bowls and six All-Pro teams.
