The world of sports has seen several athletes starting out hoping to make it into the big leagues, but unfortunately, many cannot do so. They often settle in life with something else. Sometimes it is their adopted career that helps them shine in life much more than sports could have. Something similar happened with Dwayne Johnson.

Johnson belonged to a family of athletes, and he started as a football player, but could not make it into the big leagues there. He then transitioned into a career in WWE, and later ventured into Hollywood. The career changes turned out to be extremely beneficial for The Rock, as those turned him into a household name.

Recently, he took to Instagram to announce how he is indebted to a 2-time Super Bowl Champion Team, for a very personal reason of his own. He wanted to play in the NFL but could not do so and had to settle and play in Canada.

In his latest Instagram post he wrote, “You can tell by the BIG a** smile on my face 😁 that I was truly living a life long dream in this cool moment. In my teens and early 20’s – being a pro football player and winning the Super Bowl was my goal and supposed to by my life.” He also wrote that it was his lifelong dream of holding the Lombardi Trophy and wearing the Super Bowl Ring, which finally came true.

He then emphasized how he could not fulfill his dreams because god and the universe had other plans for him. Johnson claimed they turned out to be “pretty damn good”. The Rock would then send out his best wishes to the players who made it in the league, and also to the players who could not. He asked them to get motivated by the failures and get even hungrier.

The Rock concluded by showing his gratitude towards Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams. The 50-year-old said, “If I can ever return the favor, just say the word.” Johnson played for the Miami Hurricanes during his college days. He then went to Canada and played for the Calgary Stampeders.

Dwayne Johnson, being one of the highest paid actors in the world, has a lot on his plate. His upcoming movie, Black Adam, is one of the most anticipated films of 2022, and has fans extremely buzzed for it. However, apart from Black Adam, what more movies does Dwayne Johnson has down his sleeve?

A not so known project, Red One, is planned for a Christmas release. Jake Kasdan would direct the film, with Chris Evans joining Johnson in the cast. San Andreas 2 is also confirmed and under development. Another film called King, is in the making and is based on King Kamehameha of Hawaii. Other upcoming rumored projects of Johnson are Black Adam 2 and Jungle Cruise 2.
