Pat McAfee may have taken a break from WWE for a while, but he is still a major part of the company. As of now, he is a full-time analyst on ESPN’s College GameDay and will be doing the same for a while. However, despite his absence, his wrestling rivals remember him.
One such rival recently made an accusation.

After the recent match between Indianapolis Colts vs Kansas City Chiefs, Pat McAfee shared a tweet in which he praised his former NFL team over this upset victory. However, his WWE rival, Happy Corbin, accused him of having something to do with the winning of the Colts.
The SmackDown commentator wrote, “Can’t say rude stuff to Matt Ryan… it’s as easy as that. Really good unsportsmanlike conduct call in Indy a couple seconds ago.. 4th quarter.. 3rd DAHN.. punt team half way on the field. But instead because of rude words…FIRST DAHN COLTS”
However, replying to McAfee, Baron Corbin accused him of paying the referees of the match. It seems the former US Champion is not yet over his SummerSlam loss against McAfee.

Indianapolis Colts would have punted the ball near the end of the game. However, their unprofessional conduct penalty was called on Kansas City, which extended their drive.
It does not seem like McAfee replied to this accusation. However, that sure would be interesting.
How many matches did Pat McAfee have in WWE?
The SmackDown commentator played football in the NFL for Indianapolis Colts from 2009 to 2016. However, after retiring from football in 2016, two years later in 2018, Pat McAfee appeared on NXT as a pre-show analyst.
However, in 2020, he had his first major feud in WWE against Adam Cole. Their match happened at NXT: Takeover XXX, where McAfee gave a stellar performance but lost the match. Furthermore, he was a part of NXT TakeOver: WarGames against Undisputed Era. Team McAfee included Oney Lorcan, Burch, and Pete Dunn.
In 2021, McAfee was called up to the main roster as a commentator on SmackDown. He ruled the announcing table with Michael Cole. However, a few months later Vince McMahon presented him with a match against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 38, which he won. Moreover, he had an impromptu match against Mr. McMahon that he lost.
A couple of months later, McAfee was attacked by Happy Corbin. They had a match at SummerSlam which the punter won, but it seems their rivalry isn’t ended yet.
