The first season of the minor football league will start on March 30, 2024, and everyone is excited about it. However, Dwayne Johnson decided to use this extra special moment to extend his gratitude to a special someone.

In a clip posted by the Brahma Bull on his Instagram, the star could be seen doing the preparations for the first season of the league. While there are many behind-the-scenes clips, one thing that stole everyone’s heart was the scene where he is seen having a conversation with his former coach, Jimmy Johnson. In the clip, the 51-year-old star could be seen submitting his ‘Letter of Intent’ expressing his desire to ‘play’ for the coach and his team.

Johnson has been vocal about how influential football has been in his life. One major incident from his life came to light during the 2024 Daytona. In that tweet, Johnson mentioned how his high school football coach helped change the trajectory of his life.
However, the reason why he presented the letter of intent to the former coach of the Miami Hurricanes is different. Johnson always loved the Miami Hurricanes growing up and had the opportunity to play for the University of Miami when he was recruited there on a full-ride scholarship. He was one of the defensive linemen for the Hurricanes from 1991 to ’94.

UFL 2024 schedule
The first season of the league will be starting from March 30, and a total of four matches will be featured over the weekend. A total of 43 games have been scheduled for 2024 and the first game would be between USFL champions Birmingham Stallions and the XFL champions Arlington Renegades. The second game will feature XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks. Their opponents are yet to be decided.

Johnson took over the reins of XFL back in August 2020 when the league filed for bankruptcy following the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, the league has left an impact and has been gaining traction.
