The advent of social media has surely brought the world quite close. Fans get to follow their favorite celebrities’ lives up close and personal. However, the rise of online culture has also meant a rise in trolling. Social media users regularly mock popular personalities online. The intrigue builds up when celebrities troll each other on the web. This was certainly the case in 2019 when WWE superstar Charlotte Flair took to Twitter to downplay NFL Legend Tom Brady’s milestone career achievement.
Flair has always been accustomed to greatness. She is the daughter of the 16-time world champion and wrestling legend Ric Flair.

Charlotte Flair mocked NFL great Tom Brady
NFL star Tom Brady won the 6th Super Bowl of his career in 2019. And in the process, became the player with the most number of Super Bowl wins ever in the history of the NFL. A Twitter user pointed out that Brady’s herculean feat still fell short of Charlotte Flair’s 7 Women’s title at the time.

Flair would revel in the fact and retweet the said post. She savagely added the caption, “Six titles? Cute!”. The Queen went on to capture the prestigious Women’s title 4 more times in her career. Bringing her total tally to an impressive 11 and she is still going strong with the promotion.
Brady, on the other hand, won another super bowl to add to his already iconic tally. Albeit that his seventh came with Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. He announced his retirement in 2022, only to announce sometime later that he would be returning to the Buccaneers.

Both Brady and Flair have dominated the competition in their respective sports. And both of them boast of the incredible title count that goes with it. It would be very unfair to compare the two, as different competitions require different skills.

Charlotte Flair might have mocked Tom Brady’s achievement through her social media post in 2019. But even she would agree that he had achieved a feat that is almost an impossible task for mere mortals. She herself has displayed qualities that have brought her closer to wrestling immortality. While fans and critics would never cease to argue, it is safe to say both are legends in their own right and should be appreciated for their stellar contributions to sports.
