WWE has established itself as a global sports entertainment company. It is the most recognized brand by non-wrestling followers, too. The Undertaker, who spent three decades as an active superstar, closely saw the rise of WWE throughout the years. However, recently, the 2022 Hall of Famer compared Vince McMahon’s company with the NFL and NBA.

A huge statement like this coming from The Phenom is a massive moment. He is one of the stars who saw WWE evolve over a long period of time.
WWE is close to NBA and the NFL
A few days ago, Taker appeared for an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He talked about the change in the product and also praised the growth of WWE in recent years.
The Deadman said, “Things changed when the company went public. There were a lot of changes that had to happen, changes for the better (future). Everything is you know, we’ve evolved into a, I mean it is a, I think WWE is a lot more now is regarded in the same way as other major sports franchises like NBA or the NFL.”
The seven-time world champion added, “We’re on that or if not on that level we’re really close and the company is run that way. It’s not that circus, carney kind of thing anymore. It is big huge business as everybody knows and that’s the way it is treated. The product has evolved and its evolved for the better.”
Taker’s words can be considered as gospel, as the wrestling promotion has had a tremendous rise in the past few years. However, whether WWE is on the same level as NFL and NBA is a debatable question.
But several sports persons from NFL and NBA appear in WWE, which is a sign of how much the company progressed under Vince McMahon’s regime. The Phenom also touched upon the influence of McMahon in establishing and upholding close personal bonds.
Vince McMahon is one of the boys as per The Undertaker
Taker’s relationship with Mr. McMahon is public now. The Phenom describes his relationship with McMahon as father-son and best friend over an employee-boss one. He recently shared how the former CEO of WWE is while not talking about work.
The Phenom said, “Vince regardlessly what anybody thinks, in deep in his heart, he’s one of the boys, he really is and he has that mentality.”

The 57-year-old added, because of the work, McMahon is always professional. However, one of these instances can be when ‘Vinnie-Mac’ tried to make The Deadman do a Take-A-Roonie. Also, has done numerous pranks on him back in the day.
