There are many respected and beloved bloodlines in the WWE. The most respected one is the Samoan bloodline. Now, a new member of the Samon legacy is joining professional wrestling, Zilla Fatu. Not only is he part of the famous bloodline, but he is also the son of the most terrifying forces of nature ever to enter the squared circle, Umaga.

Edward Smith Fatu debuted as the unstoppable Umaga in April 2006. Hailed as a Samoan force of nature with aggressive facial tattoos and a demeanor to match, he was the new bread of a monster. He ran through multiple superstars on Monday Night Raw for months. John Cena laid the monster to rest at the New Year’s Revolution in January 2007.

Fatu is the youngest son of one of the WWE’s most recognizable, feared, and underutilized wrestlers, Umaga. Making his debut at Reality of Wrestling promotion, owned by Booker T in Huston, TX, the young member of the legendary Anoa’i family already made waves subbing his cousin. As if training under King Booker was sufficient, Fatu now has a new mentor, Brock Lesnar’s ex-training partner, Shelton Benjamin.

Benjamin took to social media to post a training video featuring the young start. “Gittin it in w/ @zillafatu. #justDoWork,” wrote Benjamin. In an interview, Legendary star Rikishi, the older brother to Umaga and father to The Usos, said that he was proud that his nephew is taking an interest in the family business. He added that with Booker T, “He’s under good hands.”

Being part of the Anoa’i family, the wrestler is part of the prestigious Samoan bloodline. With the family giving the WWE superstars like The Usos, Roman Reigns, and Solo Sikoa, and who can forget Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, there is a lot of pressure on the young man.
