WWE welcomed back Zelina Vega on SmackDown, who returned to the company after nine months. Released in November 2020, Vega’s return shook the landscape on SmackDown, as she took on Liv Morgan. Although her night didn’t go as planned, Vega has some big plans for her second run in the company.

In November, Zelina Vega got into trouble after she opened an OnlyFans account for her cosplay pictures, openly flouting WWE’s third-party policy. She also posted a tweet that irked WWE management. She tweeted in support of unionization, and WWE released her a few minutes later.

Sonya Deville, who also walked out of WWE last year but returned, welcomed Zelina Vega back to WWE. Clearly as cocky as the day she last stepped foot in the ring, Vega took over from Deville and cut a quick promo to mark her return. However, Liv Morgan spoiled the party, calling Vega’s entry into the Money in the Bank ladder match unfair.

This led to Vega’s first match in over nine months, coming against Morgan, but it did not go her way. After dominating the match, Vega suffered a shock defeat via a quick roll-up. With this win, Morgan picks up momentum in the bid to qualify for the MITB ladder match.

As for Vega, her spot in the match is safe, and she put out a tweet regarding it. She claims she will be in the MITB match, and she’s going to win it, and everything else is irrelevant. Let’s see how far Vega’s words take her in a match also involving Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Nikki Cross and Carmella.

However, in an interview with Lucha Libre Online, he wished Vega was the one by his side instead of Guerrero.
