WWE has been PG for years now. The promotion made this shift back in 2008. That being said, there have been some instances of deviating from the company’s stance.
Many times these incidents are planned, but sometimes the performers have the tendency to go rogue. Superstar Rhea Ripley recently was at the forefront of one such incident while on live TV during Monday Night Raw.
Attitude Era saw the wrestlers spew cuss words at regularity as the promotion was serving a different demographic then. The shift to the PG Era was done keeping in mind to attract the younger audiences to the product.

While WWE largely sticks to the policy, there have been some deviations as well. Ripley recently uttered an NSFW remark on Cedric Alexander during the tag team turmoil match.
Rhea Ripley bad mouths The Judgement Day’s opponent
She said to Alexander, “Hi D**khead” while at ringside. The match oozed quality from start to finish as Judgement Day was triumphant. The encounter also included Alpha Academy, Street Profits, and the reunited duo of Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.
The faction not only won the match but also the chance to vie for the tag team titles against record-shattering The Usos.
2022 was already a great year for the group and the new year has started with a bang as well. The only thing that is missing is gold around their waist and now the focus looks on the same.
Which route Ripley goes is also an exciting question with Royal Rumble just around the corner. It was recently revealed that The Man Becky Lynch’s chances got a slight boost.
Fans react to Ripley using the cuss word
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice what came from Ripley’s mouth. The clip of the particular incident also started doing the rounds on the web. And the fans took to social media to provide their opinion on the same.

The change of stance by the WWE makes total sense. However, it does not hurt on occasions to use such language for the heel. Particularly someone who is a heat magnet in the ilk of Rhea Ripley. The Judgement Day member has been superbly booked in the recent past.
The women’s division has been crying out for something fresh after the heroics of Four Horsewomen featuring Bayley and Sasha Banks. Fans of the Australian would be hoping for a sustained push for her.
What do you think of Ripley’s recent actions?
