Randy Orton today is one of the most respected WWE veterans in the company. In his early 40s ‘The Legend Killer’ has already had a Hall of Famer-worthy career. But that wasn’t the case when he was a youngster in WWE in his early days. He earned massive notoriety for his antics but respected the rules of the wrestling promotion. However, a WWE legend recently recalled an incident when Orton broke a window in an arena because he was late for a show.

The ‘Wrestling Machine’ recalled once he and Orton were traveling for their show. Due to a wrong turn on the highway, they were an hour late for the show. Angle was pretty chilled by the situation, but ‘The Viper’ panicked. Upon reaching the arena, the 43-year-old broke the windows and the door.

The 54-year-old said, “So we’re locked out of the arena. He is busting on the walls and window, trying to pound on it and he kicks it and kicks the window open. The window and the door shatter. He goes in there, does down, gets his stuff, goes in, and wrestles. After the show, people in the arena said, ‘Hey you’re gonna pay for that door.’”

Angle added, “So they ended up calling Vince (McMahon) and saying, ‘Hey your wrestler broke a door, he kicked it in. It was because we were late and it was my fault. So Randy had to pay $800 dollars for the door and the company didn’t suspend him.”

As per Angle, it was Orton’s doing so McMahon didn’t pay the money. Many current and former WWE stars have said ‘The Apex Predator’ was notorious in his younger days. However, he was best at what he did in the ring.
