The Birthday boy and godfather of NXT, Triple H, appeared this week on the Pat McAfee Show. The Game spoke about Adam Cole’s previous week meltdown.
Cole is a triple crown champion in NXT. He won the NXT tag team championships with his Undisputed Era partners. He was also the first-ever NXT North American Champion after he won a ladder match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans.
At NXT: Takeover XXV, Cole defeated Gargano to win the NXT championship. This was the first day of his historic 403-day title reign.

Every good thing must come to an end and at NXT: The Great American Bash, Adam Cole’s historic reign was ended by the limitless Keith Lee. Since that loss, Adam Cole had disappeared and was seen for the first time on the Pat McAfee show, after a duration of almost two weeks.
However, things got heated on the show after McAfee credited Cole’s historic reign to The Undisputed Era. This is how Adam Cole responded.
“Of all people to say that to me that I surround myself with super talented people and that’s the only reason that I’m successful? You’re a psycho.”
McAfee went on to clarify that its not “the only reason” but rather, “the main reason.” Post this statement, things went south and Adam cole stormed out of the show causing chaos. Here is what Triple H had to say this week.

Triple H claims Adam Cole is over sensitive
Here is what Triple H had to say about Adam Cole appearing on The Pat McAfee Show.
“Adam calls me last week, says I’m going to be in town, McAfee invited me on the show, is it cool if I do it, I say yes, a little bit in my mind thought, hope that goes well, not knowing it becomes what it becomes, and I think everybody is hypersensitive in today’s world especially, but I apologize for Adam coming on your show. He is the nicest guys in the world on a lot of levels, comes on your show, there is an interaction between the two of you that I believe is, Adam, being a little bit overly sensitive, and you, honestly Pat, being Pat McAfee, which is you’re a professional needle pusher, a professional button pusher, you needle people for a living, you do it very well, it’s how you made a name for yourself.”
Later that week, Adam Cole put out an apology for the chaos and meltdown on the show. Triple H did speak to Cole post the event. However, the Game had no clue about the apology of Adam Cole.

“We spoke. I didn’t ask him to put out an apology. I didn’t ask him to do anything. I felt like, to me, this was him being on your show, he asked if it was cool, I said yes, he did the show, he’s a grown man responsible for his own actions in a way and how he responded to it.”
Triple H kept mum on the punishments meted out to Adam Cole, despite repeated questioning by McAfee.
The king of kings cleverly ignored the punishment question from McAfee saying whatever fines are to be paid by Cole are the internal matter of the company.
