The Eradicator Rhea Ripley is known for her physical prowess from her NXT days when she partnered with Mexican powerhouse Raquel Rodriguez. The efforts she has put in the gym over the years are reflected when she slams her male counterparts. Some of these athletes include names like Edge, AJ Styles, Carl Anderson, and Cody Rhodes.

Billed at 5’9″ feet and 170 lbs, Ripley is a force to reckon with. However, Ripley was not aspiring toward her current intimidating body when she was younger. In fact, it is contrary to the look of a wrestler.

In a video uploaded on WWE’s YouTube channel on 12th March 2020, Rhea Ripley shared a little secret from her childhood. Like many other little girls, she too wanted to be a part of the fashion industry before life took her elsewhere.

While describing her childhood aspirations, she said, “When I was younger, I wanted to be like a supermodel, the skinny, tall, like hourglass body shape.” Ripley was referring to the idealistic body type most models desire.

However, the WWE Champion from Australia turned to bodybuilding and later became a pro wrestler at the tender age of 17. She further explained, “But now, I’m happy to just go to the gym and I honestly think that’s been my best when I’m at the gym and I’m looking in the mirror and I’ve got a good pump. And I’m like, damn, I look good.

Ripley is happy with her workout sessions and how it affects her body now. She takes pride in looking at the mirror. To make herself more intimidating, she donned a darker persona after she joined The Judgment Day. With Ripley having a history of being a fan of piercings, her current appearance goes well with her Mami gimmick. But Ripley isn’t the only baddie from WWE who is into the fitness cult.

WWE’s Women’s Division has been an interesting place for performers. Until the Diva’s revolution in 2013, most female wrestlers were hired for looks instead of wrestling skills. Hence, a lot of performers were already into fitness modeling or transitioned into some sort of fitness cult.

The names include Alexa Bliss, Eva Marie, Chyna, and Torrie Wilson. But perhaps the biggest name to transition is WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus who turned to yoga after her retirement in 2006. Hence, she looked athletic during her in-ring return this year in her feud against Becky Lynch
