The WWE invests heavily in all of their storylines. Kayfabe is the nature of the WWE. Rhea Ripley recently took to social media and effectively asked those who were mocking her online to differentiate fact from fiction. Her approach was diplomatic and did not point out specific people or instances. All she wrote is, “Things aren’t “real” within this industry until you all wanna hide bullying as “funny comments.” Just saying, y’all aren’t funny.”

Before going into speculation, it is no surprise that the women of WWE are constant targets of online bullying. This could be for their performance in-ring or the storyline they’re working on. Many have suffered online bullying for their physical appearance. Female wrestlers are also often trolled online for their romantic relationships, on and off-camera. These comments are also often masked to appear as harmless jokes.

This is not the first time the WWE Women’s World Champion has expressed discontent over fans’ behavior. In an interview with USA Network, she revealed a time when a fan at the airport followed her. Ripley talked about how fans believe they can ask for anything from the stars and get agitated when the wrestlers do not comply.

Why is Rhea Ripley getting trolled on social media?

After her comment on Twitter, many fans believe she is talking about the mass trolling she received after a clip went viral recently. During a Q&A session on NXT’s Official Twitter handle, ‘The Eradicator’ gave a shocking reply. The fan’s question to Ripley was about her favorite thing to do with Dominik Mysterio. She said, “I think you already know the answer. F**k”.

The answer on her part was cheeky, but it did not stop mobs of fans from trolling the Women’s Champ online. The relationship between Dominik and Ripley is fictional, as they are not a real-life couple. Ripley is dating AEW’s Buddy Mathews, while Dominik is engaged to his high school sweetheart.
