The WWE Universe continues to come down on Ronda Rousey for the comments she made regarding WWE. Of course, telling wrestling fans that the fights they so passionately watch are ‘fake’ is going to have its consequences. Dire consequences.
But “Rowdy” Rousey does not cower in the face of adversity. Never has. Never will. She responded to those who were calling her out for her comments in a recent Tweet.

Defending the statement she made earlier, Ronda compared Pro Wrestling to “real fights”. While she does appreciate how tough it is to fight as much as WWE superstars do, she believes that for someone to fight the same number of “real” fights could be life-threatening.
The former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion was a terrorizing force in the realm of MMA. Thus, for her argument’s sake, it can be argued that she does have enough experience to be recognized as a source of credibility when she talks about these matters.
After all, there is a reason why professional MMA athletes choose to fight at average intervals of 2-3 months. These athletes earn on a fight-to-fight basis, and thus, more frequent fights make much more sense for them. Yet, they choose to let their bodies heal after any bout they are part of.
However, focusing on the other side of the coin, many WWE Divas reacted to Rousey’s post. What they had to say holds true in its own sense.
Shinsuke Nakamura, fans respond to Ronda Rousey
Ronda’s analogy does come with holes of its own. Shinsuke Nakamura was the first Diva to point it out.

It is not unheard of for fighters to face grave injuries in professional wrestling. Or even worse, face tragic deaths. Choreographed or not, the contact sport does come with risks of its own.

There are many examples from the world of pro wrestling that depict the sort of dangers involved in the sport. Yet, it seems that Rousey was not actually aiming at the aspect of safety, but the genuineness of the actual fighting that takes place.
