Roman Reigns has a lot of things on his mind right now. He doesn’t mind letting it loose in front of the camera sometimes. Taking the throne from the legendary career of John Cena as the face of WWE, the good guy is the one that’s hated the most.
Roman Reigns seemed the perfect replacement for Cena, but he can’t be a good guy, that’s just not in his persona. At most he can be ‘bittersweet’. However, as Roman’s reign seems to be coming to an end, he can’t help but wonder if his career lived up to its potential.
The Roman Empire has withstood the storms of many opponents. He was part of the SHIELD– the powerhouse team and took down The Undertaker in his own backyard at WrestleMania. So what seems to bother him?

In a recent video chat, Roman expresses his dissatisfaction with the level of matches he was made to participate in. Pinpointing the Undertaker match, he seems particularly frustrated at how it turned out. “You want your match to be flawless”, he added.
Roman Reigns not at the same level as HBK or Triple H?
For those of you who watched the Reigns Vs Undertaker match at Wrestlemania, you’d probably know that it was in a word- sad. Taker had his moments, but it was pretty much Roman Reigns the entire match. To be fair, the match was unfair to a certain extent considering The Undertaker’s age and physical abilities compared to that of Roman who was in his prime.
The end of the match saw Taker completely annihilated by Roman’s spears and pinned, marking his second-ever loss at Wrestlemania. This was just a few years after the breaking of the unbeaten streak by Brock Lesnar.

In short, Roman shouldn’t have been there. There was no solid storyline or temptation. There wasn’t any gold to Roman’s win because The Undertaker was already beaten before. The crowd seemed most dissatisfied by the way the match unfolded.
Reigns clearly noticed this as he expresses in his video chat. The situation was aggravated when The Undertaker spoke out in a recent interview. He stated that best matches were against Shawn Michaels and Triple H (both at Wrestlemania) respectively. Reigns quickly realized that his match didn’t meet the approval of even the ‘Deadman’.
He refrains from criticizing Taker by granting him the fact that he is dedicated to the WWE universe and puts his body on the line whenever they need him. Roman Reigns, however, still awaits a main-line match that defines his career.
