Rey Mysterio and The Miz are set to appear on the celebrity edition of Family Feud hosted by Steve Harvey. Both these legends are former WWE champions, which makes this WWE-themed face-off even more exciting. Both stars have clashed many times head to head in the ring, but this form of encounter is certainly a first.

Steve Harvey introduced the guests and asked Miz about how he was feeling. Miz said honestly that he was feeling very scared and petrified of Rey Mysterio right now. Even more, than he would have been in an in-ring confrontation.

“You know, and I think you should be,” said Harvey. He explained that the show exposes a different side of the celebrities who feature on the show. Which often leaves fans utterly surprised and in awe. 

Miz had his mother, father, cousin, and mother-in-law by his side on his team. Meanwhile, Team Mysterio will feature his two kids, wife, and close friend.

Rey Mysterio and his rivalry with The Miz

When CM Punk unleashed a pipe bomb on the WWE and its biggest stars in 2011, he took the company’s landscape on a whole different tangent. WWE did everything they could to keep Punk on staff in the weeks before Money in the Bank, but The Second City Saint planned to clench the WWE Championship.

When Punk won the WWE Championship from John Cena at the aforementioned event and then left the organization, the whole wrestling industry came to a sudden standstill. Their match drew a lot of praise and raised interest in the title picture.

WWE conducted a competition for the vacant WWE Championship the evening following the Money in the Bank premium live event. Rey Mysterio and The Miz made it to the championship round. The A-Lister was defeated by the illustrious luchador on July 25 to capture the coveted title.

However, John Cena ended the veteran’s reign in less than one hour, so his reigning era was brief. It will be interesting to see if Mysterio can reclaim the global championship before he eventually leaves the organization.
