AEW President Tony Khan‘s recent beef with WWE has now escalated to a higher level. After invoking a comparison between AEW’s Hook and former WWE champion Jinder Mahal, Khan took a recent online comment personally and initiated a rant.

WWE RAW Broadcaster USA Network recently replied to one of wrestling journalist Raj Giri’s X thread, as “what was the cagematch rating?”. The comment came as a direct dig at Tony Khan. The AEW head honcho is infamous amongst wrestling fans for often booking his show’s matches based on Cagematch ratings. Although not proven, fans have often taken to social media to state this. USA Network followed the same and instead received a major backlash from Khan.

No sooner did USA Network’s tweet come out, Tony Khan started his rant. He took to his Twitter profile and wrote “A moral victory for USA is one win more than their World Title challenger Jinder Mahal has in the past 364 days… because it’s been literally a full year since he won a match.”

He further stated, “You really put AEW in our place getting Jinder Mahal in a big match on your tv show. Do it more often.” After his latest rampage against Jinder Mahal, he did not leave the USA Network behind and started his onslaught against the network as well.

Although Jinder Mahal did receive a sudden World title opportunity, it was, however, well received by the fans.

As soon as Tony Khan launched his direct attacks against Jinder Mahal and his World Title opportunity, WWE commentator Corey Graves came to the rescue. Graves would take to his X account and post, “Jinder rules.”

Although, he did not directly mention or attack Khan, the text was enough for everyone to understand. This will be Jinder Mahal’s first World title match in a long-time. His return last week was met with one of the greatest moments of all-time, when he shared a brief moment with Dwayne Johnson.

It is to be now seen, whether Mahal is able to live upto the hype and deliver against Seth Rollins during his World Title match.
