Professional wrestling as a career can be very rewarding if one has all the talents. Not everyone can make it to the top, however, only a few get that privilege. WWE legend Hulk Hogan is certainly among those performers with an unending legacy.
He has had a career in wrestling that very few can boast of. But there was a time when Hogan’s mother was not quite sure about his wrestling ambitions. She mentioned it in the 2008 documentary ‘Hulk Hogan and Family’.
Starting out as a musician in his college days, the Hulkster has surely come a long way. He was part of a band called Ruckus, where he was the bass guitarist. It is not easy to achieve quite the feat that the Icon has achieved in his illustrious wrestling career. His mother, Ruth Bollea, was not a fan of his decision to become a professional wrestler initially.

She said, “He said mom I’m selling all my band equipment and I’m going into wrestling. I said, you gotta be kidding me. And he did just that, he had a hard go at it first“. Little did she or anyone else know that Hogan will become such a major name in the wrestling world.
A brief history of the wrestling heroics of Hulk Hogan
The Immortal one has won the world championship a whopping 12 times in his career. 6 times a world champion in WWE and a 6-time world heavyweight champion in the erstwhile WCW.
The ultimate babyface, Hogan shocked everyone when he joined the heel faction nWO in the 90s. A return to the WWE in the early 2000s saw him face The Rock in a mouth-watering rivalry.
He was somewhat surprisingly featured as easy fodder for The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar in 2002. It was later revealed that a planned second encounter between the two couldn’t happen.
A car collection to envy
The Icon never fails to display his impressive car collection to his fans. Hogan has an ensemble that may put seasoned collectors to shame. A 1969 Plymouth Road Runner and a 1968 Dodge Challenger are some of his prized assets. The WWE legend keeps his possessions squeaky clean all the time.
