Recovering from a life-threatening disease is a huge achievement. If there was a list of warriors who fought through such diseases, many pro wrestlers would also be on that list. One such name we can recall is Jake “The Snake” Roberts. The WWE Hall of Famer started his fight against a cancerous tumor all the way back in February 2014. Although the former wrestler could’ve been suffering for much longer, February 2014 was when the reports started coming in about his battle.
Later that year, in April, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, this was far from being his biggest achievement as the wrestler tried to end his battle 9 years ago with surgery. Let’s learn more about his journey and the most recent development around his life.

Back in February 2014, TMZ reported that Jake Roberts has developed a cancerous tumor behind his knee. The condition was problematic for obvious reasons. In August, Roberts had to be taken to a hospital because of how sick he got on a flight from Las Vegas. Irrespective of the conditions, the former WWE star didn’t lose hope and stayed positive. The wrestling legend held faith and eventually got better.
Despite the medical efforts to improve his health, cancer struck again. Later in 2014, Roberts announced that cancer vengefully came back. However, not many reports are available regarding what steps Roberts took. Much like many wrestling icons who have dealt with cancer, Roberts has also seemingly gotten better with time.
The WWE Hall of Famer has recently dropped a video on his Twitter account. In the video, we can see in what shape he currently is. In fact, fans will find that ‘The Snake’ is actually wrestling with a new-generation wrestler. When fans came across Roberts’ Twitter post, they showed their obvious delight
Fans assemble to praise The Snake
A live event in Southern Honor Wrestling saw The Snake’s intervention. While a young wrestler was standing in the ring, trying to have his moment with the audience, the 68-year-old Roberts sneaked up behind him. Then, he proceeded to give him a taste of “the greatest finish in wrestling history“. Snake’s famous DDT knocked out the young wrestler, sending fans into a frenzy.
This fan appreciates Roberts’ willpower and zest for defeating the demon of his life. In fact, he gives a lot of credit to the DDP Yoga. Diamond Dallas Page has helped Roberts to lead a healthy and better life and the latter has been vocal while presenting his gratitude.
