The six-time World Champion Hulk Hogan has been a pioneer in the professional wrestling industry. Hogan has jumped ship to many pro wrestling promotions from time to time. The list includes WWE, WCW, AWA, NJPW, and TNA (now Impact).

Throughout Hogan’s wrestling career, he has been a part of controversies. However, the fans’ love is the only thing that has kept ‘The Hulkster’ going. For years, wrestling fans have supported the larger-than-life character Hulk Hogan through thick and thin.

Back in 2012, the six-time World Champion had significant setbacks in his personal life. As a result, it was difficult for ‘The Hulkster’ to be inside the ring, but he did for the fans!

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan went through a rocky road during his TNA days

The former rival of Vince McMahon and WWE legend, Eric Bischoff, on the 83 Weeks podcast, shared one such story of Hulk Hogan. Notably, ‘The Hulkster’ was a part of Jeff Jarrett’s and Dixie Carter’s TNA Wrestling promotion during 2012.

However, since Hogan was going through a rough patch in his life, Eric Bischoff shared the sadness of watching the WWE legend in such a situation.

Bischoff said, “Hulk [Hogan] physically had a hard time getting up the stairs to get into the ring to cut a promo. The amount of pain that guy put himself through is unless you saw it or you there were with him; you can’t imagine it.”

The WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recollected that ‘The Hulkster‘ was not in good shape physically and emotionally. Sometimes, Hogan found it challenging to get out of his car and make it to the TNA arena.

The Hulkster walked inside the wrestling ring for the fans

Given Hulk Hogan’s mental, emotional, and physical state, it was difficult for Bischoff to watch him. But, despite all the dramas in the WWE legend’s life, he did what he devoted his life to. ‘The Hulkster’ came to TNA television full time for wrestling and his supporters.

In addition, Eric Bischoff stated that Hogan’s career was a mess, but being in the squared circle was the most difficult, yet the best, thing.

“He was beaten up emotionally; physically; he should not have been allowed to be out of the house without help. But the one thing he could hold on to was getting into that ring and getting the reaction from the crowd. It’s the one thing he had control over. He no longer had control over his body,” Eric Bischoff added.
