After leaving WWE in 2014, CM Punk returned to the promotion at Survivor Series WarGames last month. The WWE Universe was on cloud nine when he came back home after almost a decade. While his return elated most people, not all, were happy and okay with it.
Among the list of people who didn’t like ‘The Second City Saint’ seeing back in WWE, is Drew McIntyre. At this week’s Raw, The Scottish Psychopath launched a verbal attack on Punk, stating his dissatisfaction with his return to the company.

Drew McIntyre kicked off this week’s Monday Night Raw. Just as he began speaking, he started spewing hatred and annoyance for certain someone. He said, “Liars, hypocrites, and cowards, just plain idiots. Apparently, you can get fired, released, leave, do what you want for a bunch of time, come back to the company and you are instantly forgiven these days.”
Only Punk, Randy Orton, and R-Truth returned to WWE lately, and what McIntyre said matches with Punk’s history with WWE. So it doesn’t take much to put 2 and 2 together and figure out that he was taking a shot at ‘The Best in the World’.

As mentioned earlier, McIntyre is not the only one unhappy with Punk coming back to WWE. But the latter couldn’t care less.
Punk is not interested in making friends in WWE
For the first time in a decade, ‘The Second City Saint’ addressed the WWE Universe standing in the middle of a WWE ring. During his promo, he acknowledged that people have been very welcoming to him. In addition, he also revealed that not all of them had been nice to him upon his return.

But that doesn’t bother him. He stated he didn’t return to WWE to make friends. He aims to make money and he will focus on doing that only. Even in the past, ‘The Best in the World’ didn’t have many friends in WWE. During his vast career in pro wrestling, he has made more enemies than friends.
Punk has been a problematic superstar. However, that hasn’t had any impact on his status as a wrestler. He is still a top draw, which is why despite having a complicated past, WWE grabbed him when they found to opportunity to do so.
