Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson finally ended his four-year hiatus and made a shell-shocking return to WWE on SmackDown this past Friday. The entire Ball Arena in Denver was set ablaze, seeing the electrifying man star in an even more electrifying segment involving Austin Theory and Pet McAfee. The segment reached an end with The People’s Champion schooling the former United States Champion with McAfee by his side.

After a gap of four years, DJ’s small splash of skills was enough to stun the large crowd out there. That said, not only fans, it seems The Rock also met with a warm reception from many important WWE insiders, including Triple H.

Triple H made many significant changes to WWE programming since taking over the creative reigns. We have seen surging returns of a host of former talents. However, The Rock’s monumental return on SmackDown might be his biggest trump card yet. Apart from delighting WWE fans with his return, it seems The Rock put a smile on Triple H’s face as well.

Paul Michael Levesque, 54, shared his excitement via a recent Instagram post where he alongside The Rock and Pet McAfee posed for a photograph with the caption ‘electrifying’

Each of the three WWE Heavyweights was wearing a delightful smile in the photo. And The Rock thinks he is the one who inflected that smile all around, especially to the rather stoic head of creative Triple H.

He wrote in the comments, ”I got you smile 😁!! What a night brother love and appreciate you and the fam!!”

Their jovial moments were really incredible, one of a kind, and so their rivalry was.

The Rock and Triple H kept aside their personal and professional grudges to celebrate the virtue of the game

The two wrestling royal men, Triple H and The Rock rose to a defining rivalry in the course of the Attitude Era. The two battled each other for the Intercontinental Championship in their early days in WWE and later also competed in a heated feud for the WWE Championship.

This was also sandwiched between the faction wars between HHH-led DX and Nation of Domination spearheaded by The Rock. They last met at WrestleMania 31 in 2015 where The Rock knocked down Triple H with the help of Ronda Rousey.

This scripted rivalry once transcended the TV to some extent and crept into their real life. But the good thing is, with growing professionalism, The Game and The Great One mended their disparities and still stand strong, endorsing each other.
