WWE is one of the biggest wrestling promotions of all time. Ever since its inception, both professional wrestlers and other athletes have tried their hand at the sport. From former football stars to actors, and even MMA fighters have been a part of WWE. One such name is Shayna Baszler. Current, tag-team partner to another MMA legend Ronda Rousey, Baszler made her WWE debut in 2017. During her promotion in 2019-2020, Baszler was paired alongside Nia Jax. Recently during an interview with ‘Ring the Belle’, Baszler opened up on her partnership with Nia Jax, and how much the Samoan wrestler helped her adapt to the roster.

Speaking during the interview, Baszler opened up on the early days of her main roster career. She described how Nia Jax helped her adapt to the roster and made her acquaintances with everyone, whereas prior to that she knew no one.

Baszler said, ” It’s interesting because I had a lot of fun teaming up with Nia. She really helped me up, when I didn’t know anyone. I had just come up here, and we decided to team up. She actually really helped me a lot, behind the scenes.”

Further, Jax would use a wrestling metaphor to help make the interviewer understand their relationship. She said, “Knowing the ropes? As they say, a little wrestling metaphor. But yeah, I enjoyed it because I did get to show a different side of me that I really didn’t get to show in NXT.”
