Bray Wyatt's body image issues—Is WWE doing enough to support their wrestlers' mental health?

Uncle Howdy has been highlighting the plight that his team members have been through, to make them feel more secure, seen, and heard. The VHS tape saga is all about the Wyatt Sicks opening up about their deep dark fears that have pushed them into despair until Uncle Howdy came along to rescue them from the same.

It started with Bo Dallas, then we moved on to Erick Rowan’s story after three tapes. Now, if the next tape is about Nikki Cross, then according to a former WWE employee, the depth of her story will make up for another touching promo.

What struggle could Uncle Howdy’s next team member talk about?

Bo Dallas started off the VHS tapes when he opened up about his journey to try to accept his brother’s demise while also feeling conflicted about whether to carry his wrestling legacy forward. Next, Erick Rowan also talked about feeling hopeless after losing his brothers from The Wyatt Family and feeling forgotten by the fans. Bully Ray believes Nikki Cross’s tape will explore her troubled past. He said on the Busted Open Podcast, “Nikki Cross has been through a lot during her career. Whether that was her struggle with weight and body dysmorphia or body image issues at the beginning of her career that she went out on social media and admitted. I just think there’s a lot of depth to Nikki’s story. I think when she tells it, I think it’s going to be good.

The stories have been touching so far, exploring the parts of the lives of the Wyatt Sicks members that fans did not know. While the last two confessions were grievances about loss, Nikki Cross’ segment will hit differently, especially for those who have been through the same experience.

Have an interesting take?

The supernatural entity in question did not pick random wrestlers for his stable. Instead, he offered a helping hand to those who felt ‘forgotten’ and were ‘broken’ inside. According to a fan theory on the Wyatt Sicks, Howdy admires anything that is broken and likes seeing the beauty in it. This is precisely the reason he is involved with wrestlers who have a past that can be deemed unfortunate. Although all the instances can be staunchly different from the other, Howdy has grouped them together because there is strength in unity and the paranormal faction can achieve better things together.

It is not confirmed whether Nikki Cross will surely be the next person highlighted in the segment if there is a VHS tape promo next week on Raw. However, as Bully Ray has already mentioned, the darkness that she battled through will be unique to the fans, as not a lot of them must be aware of her situation. On top of it all, her connection to Uncle Howdy would also be interesting to explore.

Do you agree with Bully Ray’s view on the potential upcoming VHS segment?
