Blake Christian is coming to WWE

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE has signed Blake Christian to a developmental deal. This means the youngster will showcase his talents on the black and yellow brand before coming to the main roster.
Blake wrestled his last match for his home promotion GCW, losing to Rickey Shane Page in a Title vs Career match. He then debuted in IMPACT Wrestling and also took part in the recent IMPACT PPV No Surrender. Blake lost in the frenetic Triple Threat Revolver match, where TJP retained the X-Division Championship.
Blake also wrestled for NJPW. He took part in the Super-J Cup tournament, where he lost in the semifinals to eventual winner El Phantasmo.
Getting signed by WWE is probably the peak of his young career. The matches he’ll put on against the likes of Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, and Timothy Thatcher are going to be incredible.
WWE go on a signing spree

The internet wrestling community criticizes WWE and NXT’s policy of signing independent talent. Fans often accuse them of draining the independent scene of talent and then limiting their abilities once they come to the main roster.

However, this hasn’t deterred WWE from signing a plethora of talent. In December, Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz left the IMPACT Zone and arrived in the Capitol Wrestling Center.
They are now in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and will face NXT UK’s Grizzled Young Veterans.
Two former NFL football players are also going to train at the Performance Center. Parker Boudreaux is touted as the next Brock Lesnar and might have the destructive capacity of the Beast.
