MVP is all set for an in-ring return to WWE. The RAW superstar recently discussed his injury, recovery training, and other things when he appeared on the Wrestling With Freddie podcast.

MVP was out with injury for a while, after Randy Orton RKO’d him on RAW last September. The Former United States champion is, however, on the process of return, though he didn’t fade away from the spotlight as he is the manager of Bobby Lashley.

MVP is Back From the Injury Phase

Speaking on the podcast show Wrestling With Freddie by Freddie Prinze Jr., MVP provided a detailed update on the state of his injuries and recovery. He revealed that he had a severely torn meniscus, and it is now healed. Further, the ‘Ballin Superstar’ said that he is looking forward to completing all the necessary tests for the in-ring return.

Talking about the situation, MVP said, “I’m going through my physical assessment to get cleared to get back in the ring because I had that knee injury for a while. It’s all healed up, it’s just a matter of me jumping through hoops to make sure I’m physically capable of performing in the ring. I’m feeling good. The knee injury, the torn meniscus, is completely healed.”

Furthermore, he added, “Now it’s just a matter of rebuilding the strength in the leg from the atrophied muscle. My teardrop is gone, non-existent, we’re working on building that back up. My cardio is much better than I thought it would be because I actually hired a trainer and have been working on it. I’m further along than I thought I would be, fortunately, my back isn’t gasping for air. I feel pretty damn good.”

On Partnering with Bobby Lashley

MVP also spoke about Bobby Lashley finally being the WWE Champion. ‘The Franchise Playa’ stated that he believed it was because he managed Lashley, and that caused Vince McMahon to reassess him and give him a push.
