With just 14 days to go before the launch of WWE 2K24 on the 8th of March 2024, fans are excited. The WWE Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley, was featured on the cover of this year’s edition. Along with Bianca Belair and Cody Rhodes, she has etched herself into gaming history with his accomplishments. However, the WWE did not stop there. They have a special surprise for Mami fans with the game’s Deluxe Edition.
Fans can play as Rhea Ripley in her NXT debut skin in WWE 2K24
Taking to social media, the WWE 2K24 social media handle announced a special look at what the Deluxe Edition of the game would give fans. This came as an immense surprise as it had Mami in her NXT debut look. Almost unrecognizable from the Women’s Champ we know and love today.

This look of Mami will only be available on the Deluxe edition of the game. The standard edition will feature the normal roster version of Ripley with a few cosmetic variations. Mami’s NXT look has never been featured in a game before. In the game Ripley has an overall rating of 96, making her the highest-rated female wrestler in the game.

She also has new signature moves and finishers, such as the Riptide and the Fairy Bomb Drop. This edition of the game features the most robust women’s division in WWE 2K history. Not only that, but the diverse characters, move sets, and storylines for each woman ensure that there will be something for all the players. The entrances are also very accurate to ensure complete immersion into the gameplay.

Despite the plethora of stars present in the game, why exactly did the trio of Belair, Ripley, and Rhodes make the game cover?
Why did Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and Cody Rhodes make the WWE 2K24 game cover?
Normally, only one superstar makes the cover of the game, so why did the WWE choose three for this year’s cover? The simple answer is diversity. Belair won the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble, became the RAW Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 37, main evented WrestleMania 38, and was the first Black woman to be featured on a WWE 2K cover. Ripley won the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble, is a current member of the Judgement Day stable, is a former Raw Women’s Champion, and is the current Women’s champion. Both women emerge as powerful models for young women and guaranteeing their bankability in the eyes of the promotion in recent years.

Rhodes has had one of the biggest underdog stories of the year. Finishing his story has transcended borders into other sports. His feud with The Bloodline and Dwayne Johnson is one of the hottest topics in pro wrestling. Also, he is one of the company’s biggest babyfaces. So it’s no wonder he made the cut. Nevertheless, despite having to wait for the stars to fulfill their destiny during WrestleMania season, gamers and wrestling fans can tune in to their favorite video game franchise to accelerate their plans.
