Banks recently appeared on Mark Andrew’s “My Love Letter To Wrestling” podcast where she shared how she felt getting cast on ‘The Mandalorian.’

When asked if it was a dream come true, Sasha said, “Yeah, because that dream was just like, only when you watch the movie. I’m just like, imagining being in Star Wars not ever dreaming that I would ever actually be. In real life at this time. And Star Wars. It’s crazy. Not just Star Wars the Mandalorian the number one show in the world?” Sasha added. “And it was just such an honor to get the call that I got.”

As soon as Sasha shared the message from Disney with her lawyer that they were interested in casting her, he called her up as Jon Favreau wanted to talk to Sasha. Banks admits she had no clue what Disney wanted with her, but she got pleasantly surprised when she got on a Facetime call with Jon Favreau.

“Okay, because I had no idea what it was. He just said a Disney show. So he called me and he FaceTime me. So it’s like eye contact, not just the call. He FaceTime me and he’s like, I saw you on the hot ones. I loved your personality. You are great. I would love to write a role for you in the Star Wars Mandalorian.”
