No doubt today is a very disheartening day in the world of pro wrestling. Earlier today, WWE released several talented superstars from their roster. Current and former WWE superstars took to Twitter to put forward their disappointment in this situation.
Even the released superstars had a lot to say in their tweets following their shocking release. But one superstar who might have expected his release is Gran Metalik. In his tweet, Metalik thanked the WWE fans for their support during his stay in the company. He also thanked Vince McMahon for allowing his release.

However, in the last line of his tweet, Metalik teased the return of his pre-WWE nickname, “Máscara Dorada”. This was Metalik’s ring name during his decade-long stint in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
Thank you WWE universe for welcoming me with open arms during my stay in the company. Thank you @VinceMcMahon for granting me my release. I will miss you WWE universe. Remember the most important thing in life is to be Happy See you soon. “The king of the ropes” Mascara Dorada

Unlike the other released superstars, Gran Metalik himself requested his release because of the lack of opportunities. Ultimately, his request has been granted now. But Gran Metalik will look forward to getting his professional wrestling career back on track again once his non-compete clause with WWE ends 90 days from his release.

Gran Metalik went undrafted during the 2021 draft after a disappointing WWE career
The release of the member of the Lucha House Party looked imminent after they went undrafted during the WWE draft. The former NJPW wrestler started off his WWE career in 2016 when he took part in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament.
Gran Metalik advanced to the final of the tournament where he lost to T.J. Perkins. But his impressive performance earned him a full-time contract with Vince McMahon’s company. He then started competing for the Cruiserweight Championship during Monday Night Raw and WWE 205 Live. But he wasn’t successful in his attempts. Later, they teamed Metalik with Lince Dorado and Kalisto to form a stable called Lucha House Party.

But the plan did not work out well for any of the members of the Lucha House Party. They hardly got any opportunities to show off their skills. Kalisto has left the company earlier, and now the release of Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado marked the end of the Lucha House Party in the company.
