Samoa Joe has been opening up about his experiences with various wrestlers, and almost all are positive. Recently, he spoke about WWE NXT Superstar Finn Balor.
Before talking about his experience with Balor inside the ring, Samoa Joe narrated the story of how he met Balor for the first. It so happened, Finn Balor crashed Joe’s wedding!
“First time Finn came to the United States, he’d come to my wedding. You know, I remember Rocky Romero drove him straight from the airport. He goes ‘hey listen, we’re going to a wedding’… first time I met him, you know, he’s partying at my wedding, having a great time. It was funny, we kept running into each other.”

From there, they kept running into each other at various promotions. Finally, they had a tag team run at WWE before feuding with each other.

Samoa Joe revealed the type of worker Finn Balor is
During the same conversation, Joe explained how Balor’s style of working helped Joe perform inside the ring. In fact, the veteran Superstar revealed that the connection Balor had made with the crowd was completely positive energy, which made the matches much better.
“Incredibly charismatic. I mean, he makes it easy when you’re in there with him. When he’s on, he’s kind of made that connection with the crowd. I mean, to give you an idea.. I was backstage and I think Finn got out first and the crowd with everything and the lights.. the place was just on fire. I remember just standing backstage and just going ‘follow that kid’.. it was just such a phenomenal at the time.”
“My favourite thing about Finn is just incredibly charismatic performer and it makes my job easier when he can rile up the crowd.”
Currently, both Samoa Joe and Finn Balor are working with WWE NXT. While Balor is working as a Superstar, Joe has a backstage role in the brand.

WWE released him from his contract when he was working with WWE Raw. However, he rejoined as the special enforcer but could replace General Manager William Regal. However, it’s too early to predict exactly how the story between Joe and Regal will develop considering it’s still in the early stages.
