The Undertaker recently attracted massive backlash for calling the current crop of WWE Superstars ‘soft’ and saying that the older generation had ‘real men’. In a recent podcast, a returning Goldberg also supported that claim (more on that later). One face of the new generation, Matt Riddle, has chimed in on the opinions of these two veterans.
Riddle has had some minor spats with Goldberg in the past and took this opportunity to rekindle those flames. In a recent Twitter video, Riddle spoke about “thick and thin” skin and ridiculed Goldberg.
“Hmmm, so let’s talk about some thick and thin skin, shall we? Bro, really? Really? Okay, you have very, very, very thin skin. It’s like sheep’s skin thin. It’s ultra-thin, extra-sensitive thin. That’s how thin your skin is.”

For context, Goldberg had said that current wrestlers need to have thick skin. Although Riddle did not elaborate on his dig at Goldberg, he said everyone knows the reason already.
“Let’s be real, I’m not going to go down the chart of reasons why, but you know why your skin is thin, bro. We all know it and you know what, you really need to stop crying about it. it’s embarrassing, alright. Stop being a baby, and good luck tomorrow bro, you’ll need it. You’re a stallion, Drew.“

Goldberg shared a similar opinion to The Undertaker
The Undertaker had claimed earlier on the Joe Rogan Show, that the current WWE product is softer than the attitude era.
As per him, when he walked into the locker room, “Half of them had guns and knives in their bags. You know, sh*t got handled back then. Now you walk in, the guys playing video games and f***ing making sure they look pretty.”
“It’s evolution, I guess. I don’t know what it is. I just prefer, I just liked those eras. I just liked when men were men,” said ‘The Deadman.‘

On After the Bell podcast, Goldberg reiterated his predecessor’s feelings when he said, “Yes, I believe comparatively the business is soft. But the business is in 2021. So things have to change and things have to be different. [We had] Mega superstars that were bigger than life, but it’s hard in this generation, seemingly, to build those people.”
