The Viking Raiders, Erik and Ivar, went up against WWE Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos at WWE Money in the Bank. Unfortunately, The Viking Raiders lost the match, but they left an impact on the WWE Universe.
Following the match, Ivar took to social media to express his gratitude towards the WWE Universe. He sent a message about how grateful he is to be back in the ring, and performing alongside his best friends. Finally, he revealed that even though they lost the Money in the Bank match, they will still go after the titles.
In the same message, Ivar spoke about how this day seemed impossible back in September 2020, but now, he’s proud of what he has accomplished till now.

Ivar suffered a cervical injury in September 2020
Back in 2020, Ivar jumped through the ropes during an Eight Man Tag Team Match to execute a Viking Dive to the floor. Unfortunately, he landed wrong and injured himself.
Initially, it seemed he had injured his leg. WWE immediately transported him to a medical facility to recover. Moreover, in their official statement the company detailed that the Superstar suffered a cervical injury but was expected to make a full recovery.

Prior to the injury, Ivar and Erik were the epitome of brutal force. Whether it was UK, Japan, or WWE NXT, they did everything in their power to capture titles and destroy anyone who stood in their way.

They started working with WWE NXT in 2018, and immediately had their eyes on Heavy Machinery and Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss. The Viking Raiders did not stop until they have overpowered everyone and dominated the ring beyond imagination.

From there, the duo moved to WWE Raw. The company booked them in a feud with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode who were champions at that point. The Viking Raiders captured the title from them, and continued to move forward to become the most dominating tag team in WWE’s roster.
Now that they are working in a feud with the current Raw Tag Team champions, it’s possible there will be a rematch between AJ Styles & Omos and The Viking Raiders.
